Johnathan Butler

Johnathan Butler is a native of Tallahassee. He attended

James S. Rickards where he was a stellar athlete (Football and Track) and a bright scholar in the International Baccalaureate program. While at Rickards as a member of the Track and Field team he posted the 2nd fastest 100 meter and 3rd fastest 200 meter time in school history. Butler was a pivotal part of the 4x100 and a varsity member since his sophomore year under the tutelage of Coach William Gilmore. After graduating from Rickards in 2011, he went on to Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University where he earned a Football scholarship and was a member of the Track and Field team. Butler was a 2 year starter playing defensive back and special teams. As a member of the Track and Field team he was a sprinter and anchor on the 4x100 meter relay team. Off the gridiron, Butler was a Dean’s list student and an active member of the Pre-Physical Therapy Association (HSPPTA). Butler graduated with high honors with a Bachelor’s in Allied Health with concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy.

 

Coach Butler enters his 2nd year as the Head Coach of the program after capturing the Boys District Title in 2018, Regional Runner Up, and 4th place finish at the FHSAA State Finals. He also led the ladies to a 3rd place District finish in 2018.
